Default Timewasters!!

I had a chap come to see my car at night. It's a 53plate STI, FSH, 70K, priced at WRX level.

He and his mate was pulling the gearbox dipstick(?) to check the engine oil, mistaken dirt as scratches (he couldn't see nothing in pitch black, what a time to come see a car!!). Said the injector noise was my engine knocking and maybe the big end has gone. Worst of all he said because my car didn't have DCCD, it isn't an STI......................

Why are there so many muppets in this world???

Don't think I'd risk that, they might boot the car as they walk off!

I take it you didn't let the Muppet test drive it.
I though I was having a similar experience when a bloke asked to come and view my Escort Cosworth at 1030 pm in 1997 . Told him to get lost and phone back at a reasonable time. He phoned the following morning, apologised and promptly offered a £1k deposit when he saw and was driven in it. As he conceded, I obviously care for my car by not letting any Tom Dick or Harry drive it. Best of luck, if possible find out as much as you can from them before inviting them around to your address. Genuine buyers with generally be enthusiastic and know something about what the're proposing to buy.

Best of luck with the sale

Unfortunately the **** jockey didn't get to test drive it. What annoyed me is that he said he's not happy about my car not being an STI, scratches on front bump (dirt!) etc AFTER the test drive. What's the point of testing it if you're not happy, joyriders these days!!!!

Car is now sold though, to a buyer that picked it up 9pm on a Tuesday night!

Missing the scoob already, the original plan was to get a diesel, now I'm thinking about a Hawkeye STI

There are loads of prats like that out there.
I once had a guy come to see a Evo 3 i was selling. The fella spent ages looking at it and checking everything. I took him out in it and he couldn't fault it at all, (was a really nice car in all honesty). We got back and he had a great big grin on his face and said that he would love to own it. Wonderfull i thought, untill he turned round and said he wouldn't be able to insure it as he had only just got his liecense back after being banned.
What a fooking idiot, why even come and see it. I just locked the car and walked back into the house without saying another word to him. Could of torn his bloody head off.
