Stolen Wagon!!!??

Can anyone answer whether Wagons get nicked at the same rate as Saloons??
I would think that the lack of street respect from the Scums for an 'Estate' would make one less of a target??
I would also think that a 'Quiet' Impreza, without all the 'Look At Me' bollox of big Spoilers and Drainpipe-Nova-Boy Exhausts would be less of a target??
I would hazard a guess that a P1, RB5, Saloon with 'Extra-Kiddie-Kit' on would be the favoured targets??
And a nice 'Boring' 'Quiet' Wagon parked 'Nose-In' somewhere would be a lesser target??
Has anyone got any idea of the figures for Saloons Versus Wagons??
Pete

I heard that Wagons were the #1 choice for ramraiders. You can fit more stolen TV's etc in the back.
They are more subtle if parked nose in, but I think in terms of nickability they are about on a par

Drainpipe-Nova-Boy Exhausts would be less of a target
somebody talking about my wagon?
Think this is a hard one to answer. As neil says, more space = good for a ram-raid, plus a little more subtle (mine being an exception!)
suffice to say, if mine was nicked for a ram-raid I think everyone would hear it before they got anywhere near thier target!

Saloons.
A wagon might be wanted by a "ramraider" but how many Imprezas are nicked for this purpose.
Most are nicked for their value, as parts or as a whole car.
Think about all the written off scoobs in the salvage yards; what do you think happens to them - rebuilt with parts from IM?? I don't think so......

getaway vehicles for Robbers going somewhere faily local - otherwise the coppers just need to stake out any petrol station within a few miles....
Ideal getaway vehicle would be a Passat 130 TDI estate - bung your tv's in the back, crank it up to 100mph, and sit there for 400 odd miles.

If it is down to the big spoilers I better take the Sti spoilers off the back of my wagon.
but seriously I have had an attempted car jacking in Banbury of all places so personally feel a wagon is just as vulnerable.

It's okay, yours is safe Lewis old bean.....
If anyone attempted to steal your car they would be immediately be overpowered by the stench of stale wee and Worthers Originals on entering the car and would run away gagging.

Audi's seem to be favourite in Surrey for getaway cars - S4 or even RS4 have been used.
I spoke to the owner of an 'old' shape RS4 a couple of weeks ago. They said it was a lovely car but has been stolen and recovered twice in the 3 years they have owned it.
