Default Hill Start Assist Warning Light

This morning I changed the oil and filter at 4000 miles on my hatch STi. The 'Hill Start Assist Warning Light' is now staying on instead of going out after a couple of seconds and I am wondering if it is simply coincidence or has a lead been disturbed or something during the oil change ? Local dealer says it's OK to drive but suggests that it goes in this week for a looking at. How sensitive are these Hill Start Assist mechanisms and are they easily upset ?
