Default spec d question

Hi,
Just wondering if all spec d's came with the upgraded audio system? Appears that the one that i just bought has the normal subaru double sized headunit .

Regards
Rick

Mine came with a Pioneer with an Ipod attatchment.
It is not double sized though - maybe someone upgraded it ?

As cster said they came with a Pioneer single din unit which in my eyes was to tricky to use, I swapped for the Subaru up grade which was this

Very easy to use with great sound can do Ipod and takes 6 Cd's

That looks good. I'm pretty sure that mines been changed for the standard scooby radio/cd. I did read somewhere that the dancing lights on the pioneer system were quite distracting & that it was nigh on impossible to adjust the radio settings whilst on the move.
Not really used the radio all that much anyway, still listening to the revs as I get used to the sensitive throttle, lol.

Definately a spec d as per v5. Just removed the smartnav thingy as I don't like things on show to tempt the artful dodgers out there!

How do you you remove it?
Did it leave any damage to the fascia?

All done mate, look great. Was a terrifying fit though....man handling those top 3 grills out is not cool!!

Nor is drilling the holes for the lower grill!!

However fitted perfect, and had no issues, aside the fear of snapping the front end to bits

Looks great IMHO

It leaves two holes in the facia.

The spec D pioneer is quite a nice little unit ad th dancing lights can be switched off - they are a demo mode.
After 4 years, I found that the display can be switched to show battery voltage.

So new facia needed then, bet thats not cheap might just leave it in. Bloody things gone wrong twice got fed up with it now and cancelled all the subscription.

Not denying that the Pioneer wasn't a good unit but way to complicated for a simpleton like me.
