Default Sti standard intercooler

Hi everyone was thinking about cleaning my car under the lid,at the minute the car is kept in a container and only used really for pleasure,so wondered if anyone has taken off the intercooler to clean it and if so whats the best methods of cleaning,products to use etc..also is it pretty easy job to do.any advice welcome thankyou.

Was thinking this myself interms of best way to clean engine bay and what chemicals to use. The scooby engine gets really dirty with that big air intake.

All purpose cleaner and a selection of brushes is all you need. Use a low pressure hose and repeat as necessary. If you have bent fins, use a cocktail stick to gently straighten them. Use a dressing such as 303 or AG Tyre and rubber dressing to finish off . Once its done properly, its a doddle to keep clean

Do a search for Swiss tony's cleaning guide....totally superb


In facy dont here it is, done by Swiss Tony off SNET, i found it superb! Wont tell ya to take off intercooler, but great cleaning guide here
