ADVISE/INFO on a MY03 STI uk
Hi lads im looking for a bit of advise, my bottom end went on my scoob in the late part of last year. i gave it to a freind who runs a garage he took the engine out and stripped it to get ready for the repairs but since then i have lost my job, and im skint and no other income coming into the house. i would love to get the scoob back on the road but just canot afford to. and i need some my money to come back in to my home. i cant sell the car as it has no engine!! so my only other option is to scrap it and sell the parts on ebay and on here..but what am i looking at getting back for it?
gear box? rest of the engine (69,000miles)..? turbo?? doors?? THE WHOLE LOT etc... i havent got a clue so any advise and rough prices would be great.
GUTTED
THANKS DAN

Hi Dan,
Well the major parts that will sell easily are the gearbox/diff (£2k maybe), the interior (£400), the brakes (£500) and the wheels (depends what they are). Then you are left with the shell and lots of ancillaries like the bumpers, engine ancillaries etc. Assuming you can sell all those I reckon you are looking at around £5K total and you will then have to dispose of what's left. Not an easy decision.
