Use the original recirculating DV, all others are a waste of time at best and could damage your engine at worst.

I've just fitted a Bailey DV12 to my bug and I love it for now, good sound and looks pretty cool too. Not for everyone obviously and I may even remove mine at some point, but for the time being i'm loving it

Ran a Forge for over 2 years with zero issues. Now run with no DV at all.

Can we have an option for DV-less.

How does that sound? Do you get that chatter sound with the "turbo stall" or whatever it's called?

Sounds nice, and feels nice too.
Yeah get a bit of chatter and the odd 'squirrel mincer' to, depends how hard i'm going. I have the resonator box delete to so that makes it a little more audible. It's a refreshing change after the Forge chav trumpet. I do still like to hear a good DV, but not my own.

Standard the way.
VTA (vent to atmosphere) dumpvalves cause over fueling (nice for pops and bangs I spose) which can cause bore wash and it makes the car run very jerky. Honestly, if you run with a vta for a couple of weeks and then fit the standard valve again, you will be amazed how smooth the engine runs again.
Plus vta's make you look like a prat!

Been there, done that. Don't waste you money.

I have a Bailey atm, have had for over 4 years and never had an ounce of bother from it!!

I'm fed up of the noise now. Its getting removed when my bung turns up so I too will be DV-less

i have a turbo-smart that came with the car and am gettin the car re-mapped to run it properly coz i absolutely love it! sorry!! but u cant beat a nice full-dump alongside some1 when u over take em. Also, mine only goes off after 4000 revs and on full throttle anythin less and u jus get a little hiss so when i wanna be chilled out and quiet i can be. its all down to personal taste tho i guess!

running a forge at the moment, with no apparant issues, did have original recirc valve, and would have kept it, but have gone front mount so needed something to go on there, but now considering going to nothing.

Started off with a baileys then went onto a forge, then had a turbosmart, then a GFB,and finally a blitz. The blitz was the loudest of all of them and never gave me no running issues apart from the popping and banging coming from the vortex. I am currently running with the std recirc on, and the car seems happier and is definetley smoother through the gears dispite running 50% more power than the car had as std. Absolutely nothing to be gained by fitting one imho - bar a noise.
If you have a decent exhaust system then the bass from that as well as the transmission wine from when your giving it 'plenty' is all you need to hear.

I hate the sound of Bailey dump valves, they sound so high pitched. I ran the standard recirc for a while but I could still hear it coming back through my induction kit so I removed it totally.

I'm going to change my turbo to a VF series in the future and they don't like running no dump valve so I don't know what I'm going to do then.
