For what its worth i had a £300 snooper s5-r, that detected everything but SPECS. Thing was total toss and i recently e-bayed it....it did detect everything, but it also detected everything else...seemed it would go off if i passed a tree...certainly EVERY petrol station would be a potential speed trap...

So dont get one of those!

I've had a Road Angel Pro for a few years now. Only let me down once... On the A9, that cost me £60 and 3 points. Updates easily and seems to detect everything way before i see it. There's a newer version out now that updates it's self on the go I'm guessing it has a sim card in it or it connects to your mobile.
Got mine sat on the clock pod in the centre of the dash and have the power lead fed up through the dash to it, better than having cables draped all over the dash.
