Default If you had to replace your car.....

I've been trying to decide what to do if my car is written off after the bonnet opened while driving last week.

If you had to replace a 2005 WRX would you get a blob/hawk sti or go for an earlier classic? Maybe a jap version V or VI sti?

Any opinions gratefully received.

The bonnet is knackered. Smashed the windscreen and dented the roof to a point about 3ft behind the windscreen. I put a couple of photos on the photo gallery last week. It doesn't look so bad in the photos though.

There's also damage to the hinges and minor damage to the front wings.

Structurally the car is ok but it will need a new roof skin, which is a lot of work., and the parts are expensive.

The quote for the repair is approximately 60% of the value of the car which makes me think they might write it off. They're going to let me know next week.
