Thumbs up Big thanks to Jolly Green Monster

I would just like to publicly thank Simon at Jolly Green Monster for mapping the car today, the last time the car went on the rolling road as bog standard it gave 292bhp.
Well a Cosworth panel filter and milltek 3 inch system with a sports cat later and of course Simon and his laptop I now have a quick spooling 348bhp/380lb torque.

It drives really well and pulls like a train.

Thanks also to Charlie at Surrey rolling road and CJ for fitting the air filter and advice.

It was at 350bhp 400lb with possibly a little more bhp to go when what turned out to be a coilpack connection came off, the tab to lock it in place is broken, didnt see risking it riggling off again and risking it causing damage for the sake of a few horses so checked it on the road and drove very nice.

Simons advice was to get the exhaust and air filter sorted first and if your car is a Type uk then you would need to do the fuel pump as well, then you should see similar figures to mine after a remap, i think a re-map on it's own will see modest gains but you would not get the full benefit without the other mods.

Hi Pete.

Some possibilities:

Exhaust
Milltek is ine of the best and what I would go for, but a full system with sports cat is a bit more than £1000. H&S is decent and a couple of hundred less, inc Ninja sports cat.

Fuel Pump
Walbro 255l, about £70 or so

Panel Filter
Green or K&N, about £50.

Remap
Ecutek - About £600. "Open source" is a couple of hundred pounds less. Just make sure you do a search and go with a mapper recommended by others!

Hope that helps.

With decat or sports cat downpipe, And cat back exhaust and cossie panel filter you should see around 340bhp and 335lb torque.
Torque slightly less than peters as single scroll 2litre on 03 Sti uk.
Fuel pump worth doing for piece ofmind and cheap.

See for walbro pump and panel filter www.lateralperformance.co.uk

Exhausts - google revolution, hayward and scott. And miltek and take your pick

Remap pricing www.jollygreenmonster.co.uk

Simtek is a replacement ecu and not necessary at this planned level although has optopn of antilag and launch control and two map which maybe attractive.

Ecutek is a remap of the standard ecu which would be my recommendation at this level.

Hi Pete,

You should be able to buy all the bits from Alyn at:

http://asperformance.com/

As for fitting, shouldn't be too much of a problem for any decent garage, if you say where you are someone else may be able to recommend a specialist in your area.

Enjoy!

Andy

PS - Tell Alyn that "AndytheJock" from Scoobynet recommended him - he might do me a deal next time I buy bits from him!
