Omg thats really over priced for what it is.

How can someone make so many mistakes on a listing for a car he only has to look at the logbook to see exactly what it is.

something very suss with that car. It has my93-98 bumper, grille, boot spoiler and my97-98 engine (central coilpack dump valve on pipe) but my99 dash, steering wheel, clocks etc

Its a jap import (rear wiper, double din and wrx sticker) and the only thing sti about it is the rear lights

I'd avoid like the plague.

Send them a message on ebay it could be a genuine mistake
but they have got it so wrong and they are traders thought they would have done a bit of research.

Really? Well the one in the add is definitely a V4 interior as i used to have one. The seats actually look older, maybe v2?
Someone trying to sell something that they obviously have no idea about.

I don't think it's a bitsa car, it looks just like a version 4 jdm wrx to me. Just because the clown listing it has described it as something it's not isn't the cars fault.

Yes, but if a car trader lies about what the car actually is, why would ever buy anything from them?

The dash, steering wheel, heater controls, lights, clocks are the same as the two MY97 classic JDM V4 I have owned. Mine were STi variants so I'm not sure if those seats are correct, I had those fitted in a version 5 I had years ago.

It has facelift lights, just the early (my97-98) non-crystal facelift ones.

We have both versions in our house, it looks like mine (my97) externally and engine wise and like my mrs (my99) internally (the seats are like my mrs car btw)

If its an my99 as listed it should have four pot brakes, which it doesn't appear to have.

Also, afaik, there is no such thing as a uk sti classic, they had to be imported! (don't quote me 100% though)

I think people are getting a bit twisted up here. As I say it appears no more than a pretty STD (apart from wheels & sti rear lights) looking v4 WRX JDM model.

It's just been advertised by some plonker as the wrong thing on many counts, ie UK (it's a jdm car) sti (it's a wrx) 99 (prob dvla cockup) version 6 (it's equivalent of version 4 - yes, yes Tony but version 4 easily conjures up the correct spec)
