i may be very mistaken, i thought the blob eye was the 1st scooby to be fitted with the 2.5?

nope they 2.0, hawkeye's were the first with the EJ25

sure you can get a late blob in 2.5 trim rare but there are a few kicking about

The yanks had the blobs with 2.5's I think, we didnt, anyway there are so many issues with those engines when they first came out, that if you have not changed the HG I would be putting a fair bit of cash on the side to do so!
