Spec C
It could most likely be a Spec C Import as the ''My Car Check'' bringing it up as a 1994cc (2.0l Turbo Twin Scroll JDM EJ20) which the spec c model are on the hawkeye edition!!
Also the only coming up as a Subaru and not mentioning what model it is; also suggests its an import version spec

Simon bought a Hatch from Prodrive and it had 58miles on it. This could of been shipped out to the original owner in the same fashion.... not enough detail to know.
These cars can take the abuse, as long as they have been maintained..... and what better place to have it maintained then Prodrive! I would buy it, even if it had been used properly..... as long as I was happy with the engine etc etc.

Yes it is a spec c and a member on here bought it, think he was called adam, he was speaking to me regarding the t25 and asking my opinion compared to a newage sti etc. this came up and he went and bought it. it was cheap as not much service history and it had not been mapped for uk fuel but he said it was mint and ran smooth etc so took a gamble, it was due for a full service and belt change to make sure and a little map check so all in all by the looks of it he got a good deal

Without going into the reasons why the original owner was selling, it was a gamble that has paid off, so far! The complete service went without a hitch and no problems were found, even the mechanic who's well known here in NI said he'd buy it as his own car he was that impressed. It was mapped the other week by JGM, and no det was apparent on the engine even without the car being mapped for our fuel. That was my big worry. Took literally a few runs and Simon was more than happy the way the car responded. It is a team arai spec hence the blue interior which initially threw me until i did my research. It is missing the white wheels and front splitter, which i've since put another one on, and i'm debating getting a set of white wheels to put it back to the original spec. The skirts don't bother me either, i have a spec c for less than the asking price with 20k on her. Who wouldn't be happy?
To me it deserved a viewing just for the fun, and i'm glad i did.

Did you buy it locally or was it on the mainland?
Who was the mechanic - Michael White?
Good luck

Thanks Steve, your advice was much appreciated.
Hi, Shaun, i believe you're in a hatch now, nice car. Aye, it came from down the M1 direction outside dungannon, and yes, Michael was the mechanic. First time i've use him, and i'll be going back for sure. Knows his stuff, and really happy with the job he did, nice guy too.

Think I said in post 6 what this was, only Prodrive imported these and used them as Recce cars afaik, and as long as they are run on v power then the ecu can cope fine, ran my first spec c on the JDM map, only saw det a couple of times and the ecu retarded instantly to compensate for it, so no worries for you there, just a 97 ron fuel map and a KS3 and your laughing
Good luck with your new purchase, you lucky sod
