My first thought was Recce car, but then they are usually caged up, seats, suspension and so on.

They use normal road going cars sometimes, would be one of these, Prodrive would confirm it tbh and they are nice people to talk to

Thanks for the comments guys. To be honest Tony i'd rather not know the history in case it was used in a dukes of hazard style! Ignorance is bliss

I've a few bits coming for it, so will post some better pics in the future, it's currently living in the garage until the sun comes out again! I doubt the mileage will have passed 30k by this time next year. It's a weekend toy, so will always remain fun to drive, rather than spoiling myself in it everyday. Though it does feel a bit too hardcore for everyday usage. I'm desperate to drive it after the few runs i've only had. Makes my old 05 uk sti feel lazy. So i now know what you're on about Tony when you preach the JDM way!

The power graph from the map if anyone is interested, might not look overly impressive, but it really hauls.

Love that yellow machine.

Adam

Does the reconisance on the stages, normally a grp N car for the off road stages and road car for the tarmac stages, though the grp N car can do both.

And what are they checking for? safety issues along the stages?

Think I said in post 6 what this was, only Prodrive imported these and used them as Recce cars afaik, and as long as they are run on v power then the ecu can cope fine, ran my first spec c on the JDM map, only saw det a couple of times and the ecu retarded instantly to compensate for it, so no worries for you there, just a 97 ron fuel map and a KS3 and your laughing
Good luck with your new purchase, you lucky sod

Tony
No V Power in N.Ireland I'm afraid Tony.

In relation to this "Wonderful" thread: If anyone knows of another one like this please PM me asap. Im looking ideally for a Hawkeye JDM STi or maybe even a Hawkeye Spec C if the price is right.

So if a friend of a friend is getting rid of his etc please let me know, no doubt you will be on my xmas (or Easter!) prese list!!

ps May consider a well priced wide track JDM blob

He's a member on here but mainly on 22b.com, wants to turn it into a big build I think with full bodywork back to bare metal respray in a different colour.

I offered it with most of the bits on it or £1,500 cheaper with them taken off which he preferred.

Going to see a few blobs this week
Seen Immy's one on Sunday, needs some work on it which I wasn't prepared to take on, as concurred by "MarkNI" from Ireland who recently posted about this paticular vehicle on your thread two weeks ago. Saying that Immy did have a nice new 10 plate Spec C there also.

Just putting the finishing touches to it, pics will be up in the gallery hopefully later on this month. Mine has seen a bit of paint on the rear bumper, which i caught onto since i last posted unfortunately, i missed it while buying the car. Though i'm still more than happy with it as she drives perfect, a bit of paint doesn't overly bother me.

Good luck in your search rickya, but you're game if you plan to drive a spec c everyday! I couldn't stick it, it's too aggressive and i'd fear for my license. I looked at Mel's engine spec , can't get my head round those figures as mine doesn't come across as lacking in the go department.
