TEIN or EIBACHs ??? Which ones will LOWER more ???
#3
Go for the Eibach-s.
1. Eibach lowers less than Tein (Tein is too much for everyday use)
2. Tein springs are great if you have perfect tarmac all the time, otherwise too stiff and you will have too much of a bumpy ride.
3. Eibach is European, so more suitable for European road.
As always these are personal opinions.
Cheers,
R.

You want usability/drivability out of your choice, too harsh or lowered too much and it will ruin the handling.

i've got a set of eibach springs that i have just taken off a 1999 t reg saloon, it was running on 17" v8 sti alloys it sat really nice and handled well. the tein springs are to low and to stiff in my opinion. i'm selling the springs with standard shocks all in very good condition if your interested for £75.

Cheers for that guys !
The thing is that at the moment my car (V2 Sti 96 saloon) sits a bit too high. There is a 3 fingers gap between tyre and wheel arch, so definately whants to lower it a bit. I'll go for EIBACHs if they will do the job but most of people say that they don't lower much, espacially STI models so... What i want to get is a nice clearance between tyre and wheel arc. 3 fingers is definately too much and it doesn't look good, trust me :-)

I bought a set of the p1 springs from the guy on here for my 99 classic uk spec.lowerd the car about 25-30mm,car now sits perfect for my liking and not silly low.also firmed up the ride nicely and not to hard for everyday use. Will try and get some before and after pics up later.

Over the years i,ve used tein and eibach and i,d recomend the eibach springs to anyone. The tein,s were good on smooth roads, but braking on uneven surfaces was a real problem even braking on cats eyes lol.

Had Teins fitted on my Bugeye with a full Perrin set up.Looked nice but was horrible to drive.I got rid of them within a couple of months and bought some Prodrives which I think are made by Eibach-perfect...
How it looked...

I lowered my old bug eye WRX on Eibachs. Seemed fine and dropped by 30mm.
I'm going to replace shocks and springs on my Blob STI on new year and will be using Eibachs again.
I havent tried Tein etc but the consensus last time seemed to favour Eibachs so I will be sticking with what worked.
