Both are good cars really. But it has to be the Spec C for me. Try to sample both to see which you prefer. Some might prefer the low end torque on tap of the 2.5L and being a special edition, it's really nice, others may swear by the JDM 2.0L twinscroll.
Contact Immy (known as Juggers here) if you would like to find out more about the Spec C.

Spec c without a shawdow of a doubt altho my opion might be biased it's also based on the fact that the spec c is a much better car out the box and you get a bullet proof engine good for 500bhp 70kg lighter than an RB320 alot rarer holds it's residuale value has a more ridged chassis auto watercooler spray rollerbearing twinscroll turbo equal length headers etc.

has the spec c got a closed deck or semi closed these seem to be the ones i here about alot, i know what u mean about the spec c bein a better car but i think the RB has a gorgeous stance and looks ace , i suppose if i want to tune the spec c its the daddy . What is the difference with the type r ive seen one of these although it was sold

Spec c comes with a semi closed deck and hyperputic/forged internals and is designed for group N rallying.
The RB320 is a very nice car cosmetically and thats about it. The spec c has so much more to offer and is a blank canvas am sure you can end up with a better looking car than the RB320.
If your not going to do trackdays then I would advise the RB320 as you will only get the most out of a spec c on the track or a spirited drive along an A or B road. The only thing to watch out with the RB320 is that it runs the 2.5 block which is prone to failure at some point.

spec c hands down if you want to smack it round a track as many days a year as you can manage if its a day to day car no track work then an RB320 more comfort and i am sure as the p1 it has been setup for uk roads, although i would go for a black sti, the rb320 is still asking 17-22k where the uk sti can be had foe 11-14k so pocket the change or buy it drop it off to API and let them work some magic with the remaining cash and have a better car then the RB, dont get me wrong think the rb is a great looking car and would love to own one due to the build number and being a special edition hence why i bought a p1 not a type r but they need to drop in price for me, just my opinion though
both great cars and it really depends what you want to use it for, and as said speak with Immy aka juggers from PCM, never heard a bad word said about him and from his stock list they all look a top quality grade too
best of luck what ever you do

I would go spec c out of those two but if you add a jdm sti to the list I would choose that as it is basically a spec c but with a few extras suitable for daily driving think an rb is nearer 100kg more than a spec c and a jdm will be 70kg more than the spec c. I went jdm sti and have no regrets as a spec c in my opinion is more suited as a weekend toy where the jdm sti has a few creature comforts including sound deadening. I would not touch a uk now I have had a jdm

Have to agree with all the comments, it would have to be a jdm car of some variety. I used to own a uk 05 sti and sold it earlier in the year, but found my way back into a spec c a few weeks ago. I just wanted to see what all the fuss was about, as plenty of folk do go on a bit about how good they! Mine is a weekend car, and i wouldn't really be up for using it everyday. However to be honest, it just makes the uk car feel lazy. Only for the fact the interior is the same, you'd think you were driving a totally different car imo.
Like one of the guys said, drive both and see what floats your boat.

I think it does come down to what you wana use it for along with how it looks. Ive nevet seen a scoob look as good as an rb320 imo. However if i was gona be moddin it or tracking it, id have to go with the spec c for sure.

Spec C.
RB320 look good but so does the Spec C.
I personally think the last of the newage saloons (Blob and Hawk) Spec C are the most beautiful cars ever built.
If you can afford to use it daily - all the better

Personally I think the Hawk STI is the best shape Impreza but I wouldn't get an RB320 because my last one was black and it showed all the scratches easily I also don't think i'd get a Spec C because I would never really use it for what it was intended for.
'Plain old' UK STI for me
