Default WHERE TO SKIM THE FLYWHEEL ???

Hi. Does anybody know, where and how much it would cost to skim the flywheel?

Also if i would like to make it lighter, how far can i go to be safe?
It is standard 5 Speed one from V2 Sti.

Anywhere in Bedford area will be perfect.

Why risk it being wrong and having to take it all out again when you can just bye a lightened flywheel

I know but have not enough funds to buy new clutch kit ( Exedy Stage 1 - £300) and lightened flywheel which would cost me in total over £500

Be sure to buy the Anti-Judder version and a genuine Exedy UK item. Plenty of fakes around.

Where are you getting yours from?

If you want your current flywheel skimming, you will need to phone around the local machine shops to see who could do it (some will be able to and some won't). Expect around £50+ VAT. If reusing the old flywheel, be sure to fit a new spigot bearing (if you buy one of our flywheels, they will come with a new spigot bearing anyway).

Hope this helps.

Ok, But what are you going to do if the skimmed flywheel judders like mad and you then have to do it again?

As it's pertinent, we wouldn't recommend a light flywheel for anything other than a track car. For drag racing, it's a positive disadvantage.

So, skim the standard one and put back on, right?
