Default anyone bought from spd automotive/japshop?

i bought a simota panel filter from them .
when it came it wasnt in the usual simota packaging ,just a plain white box (sticker does have the correct code on however)

when i aske them about this they said that they buy them in like this as there cheaper than with the retail packaging .
im just a little concerned it could be fake ?

has anyone experienced anything like this ?does it sound feasable ?

link
http://www.japshop.co.uk/acatalog/Su...cessories.html

if you scroll down you will see the simota filter advertised (in correct packaging )

theire explanation sounded reasonable but im still worried that it could be an imitation filter ,the site etc does look proffesional though .

i rang up simota and they said that theire filters should never be sold in plain packaging but that it could happen if coming from another country and someone is breaking rules somewhere .

the material that the filter is made from is almost see through when you hold it up to the light ?
does this sound normal ?

I was looking at Simota filters at API on Saturday and they were all in plain white boxes. Yes, I could see through it which was shown as a feature (benefit) of this filter.

I will be replacing my Green for one of these. Can I ask how much you paid for it?
