I believe the pipes are arranged differently on the ver 5/6 mate,but could be made to fit with some extra pipe,the mounting point is the same though

As above it can be made to fit,as the 1995 wrx my mate bought 9 weeks ago ,had a MY99/00 header tank on it. Incidentally it will also fit a a blobeye sti ,you just need to reroute the pipe coming from the turbo to the header slightly,as it points in a different direction.
