Default How quick?

Evening all just a quick question.
As the post says I was just wondering how quick the new focus rs is compared to a modded scooby running 300+bhp, the reason for this is that this evening I saw a new focus rs (looks nice I must say) and he wanted to play (traffic light grand prix) but due to the fact I had my kids in the car I declined but as he put his foot down off the mark and it started going I though damn it looks sexy but also thought were is the noise (lol). Just wondering if anyone had a play with one of these as it is the first time I have seen one on the road.

Have a few by me. Nice looking cars.

Had a play with one a little while ago. Was pretty quick until I got onto the dual carridgeway where my set up came into play. He moved out the way and give me a nice flash of the lights as I went passed him.

not sure about the rs but my jdm sti completely toasted a focus st a few weeks back, had to lift off and wait for him to catch up, I then let him come past as didn't seem like a fair comparison. So unless the rs is a lot quicker shouldn't be much of a problem keeping with them, although I can't be bothered to take the bait most the time as silly speeds are quickly reached and not worth the risk to the license to be honest. They are both quick cars in the right hands.

I saw this on youtube its not pretty to watch It looks like the RS500 focus limited edition running 350ps and 460nm of torque which has slightly more bhp i believe than the subaru..

More unequal journalism....

Why not put the RS against the STI and the RS500 against the 330s

answer

Because the STI will win both...and we couldn't have a Subaru beat an RS could we...

Just reminds me of TG when they used an FQ360 rather than the 300... just so Clarkson could rant on how much more responsive and eager it was than the Subaru..

AT LAST ^ someone has said it TG has in the past gone on about a porche 911 turbo or similar 'quicker than the sti around our track' of course it is its a sports car, not a 4 door saloon FFS

i could never understand that either? why put a 360evo against a 261 sti, why not use a prodrive 305 against the evo 300? that would have been fairer.

It was the 300bhp one (2008>STI)

The prodrive STI is now 330ps (325bhp)

In standard form an ST isn't that quick, I recently drove a one remapped to around 300bhp, very rapid in gear acceleration. I think from a standing standing start My Scoob would still be quicker though.
