Who's got them? What type do you have? Or why HAVEN'T you if you refuse to have one?

And where are they mounted?

I have a Lifeline Zero 2000 system, although it was in the car when I bought it.

It's not been correctly installed, so am in the process of ripping it out and starting again.

For on the road use though, I may disconnect the external handle (when it's installed) for obvious reasons...

TX, can you tell me who made yours? I remember a few years ago there was a chap who made them. I was in the process of buying a load from him and it feel through.

He had a red classic I think?

Really looking at getting one for my car and one if it fits for the rear too.

I have 3(lol), powder and foam 2KG. My brother was caught out when his Spec C went up in flames, all he had was a 1kg canister, it didn't have any effect.

All a fire extinguisher will do is give you a little more time, 99% of the time the fire will be too intense for you to fight, ever see how much foam a fire engine uses on a small car fire? you would need more than a couple of 2kg extinguishers to put one out

I had a a few fires on mine now and on the 1st one when I opened the bonnet the flames were about 3ft tall and I got such a shock and dropped the bonnet. I emptied a full 10kg fire extinguisher thru the intercooler and it put it all out. The 2kg ones are pretty good and as long as you catch it within a minute they would put it out

I now have this sticker on my bonnet as a joke and |I have another on the boot

My 1st incident If it wasn't for that fire extinguisher the car would of just went up and there would of been no stopping it unless you had a firetruck handy

3 litre foam, 4kg powder. Not light, but if you need one, I hope not to run out, as I had a small "car" powder one 30 yrs ago and it lasted a few seconds and had no effect
Kept in a plastic tray in boot along with 4litres oil, tool kit etc !!

i had a very lucky escape a while back,as it happens i had just walked out of halfords with a 2kg fire extinguisher as i was going drag racing the next day and thought it would be good to have one.only 5 mins later i was on the outside lane of the motorway when i saw smoke in my rear view mirror.i told our lass to get her harnesses off straight away and pulled onto the hard shoulder.i got out and popped the bonnet to be knocked back with flames,in a panic i got the extinguisher i had just bought and even though it was a 2kg one it seemed to last seconds.anyway to cut a long story short i managed to get the fire out which i later found it was a result of the oil cooler pipe bursting and pouring oil all over the red hot headers.i always carry a 2 kg one in the car with me now and tbh i dont think any smaller one would be up to the job of putting a fire out.i have fastened mine infront of the passenger seat for easy access.

I've always wanted a passenger seat mounted one but don't know where to get hold of a bracket to fit. Any ideas? I know a few on here have made some themselvers (frayz).

Al fire extinguishers come with a bracket! Cable tie that bracket to your seat then add the fire extinguisher

**** the passenger I don't want the hassle of another fire There is no way a cable tie will fail in an accident The mount it is fixed to will fail before the tie

didnt know cable ties have a 2 tonne breaking strain , at 30 mph impact a baby has the weight mass of 2 tonnes . a book on parcel shelf will behead driver or passenger at 30 mph impact , and a 14kg tool box in boot will rip open the back seats like a newspaper along with the seats occupants then take out driver and passenger before going throughthe windscreen
