Hawkeye 06 exhaust and induction?
Hello everyone,
I have as above a 2006 wrx which i have owned for about 3 months and have been collecting info along the way, however i cant decide what to do re exhaust and induction as i have a baby and dont want an intrusive sound but i do like the scooby rumble dont we all, but which exhausts are good i do like the blitz and jap style ones but they can be a little loud and is there any point fitting an induction kit if i am not worried (at the moment prob will change though!!) about power gains..
This is probably a frequently asked question but as i am new to scoobyNet good way to introduce my self

In terms of noise a panel filter won't do a great deal, but the real bonus is a filter which can be cleaned thoroughly at regular intervals rather than replaced, as well as a finer filtration quality.
Exhaust wise a prodrive exhaust or similar keeping the cat will be much better to live with than a decat system, plus a remap is a given when decatting due to a change in turbo dynamics. Large 'jap can' style exhaust silencers generally give a low deep rich sound. You could perhaps just change the rear silencer for the increase in noise, rather than a full system change. That would give a noticeable change in sound and noise increase, but to a lesser extent than a full system.

Milltek everyday !!!!!!! Perfect sound without being too noisy and looks good without being too big.......
As for induction, I know statistic's prove that unless your going for big power they are a waste of money but I absolutely love the slight chirp you get when changing gear. I hate dump valves with a passion as they are far too loud, but this gives the same type of noise but no where near as loud. I think its a nice mod but each to their own !!!!

ppp backbox and a deresonated centre pipe from somewhere like scoobyparts should give you the noise you are after, had this on my 06 wrx and worked a treat when my daughter was little,.

Still not convinced by the PPP, I know its well tried and tested, but i will see what other people say on this, again de and resonated center section not sure.
Does anyone have a cobra or ninja? or the tornado from scooby parts? just thinking about the pennies...

Tracktive solutions system on mine, not much louder than standard, true 3inch system, top quality fabrication. Whatever you decide to fit you will need to get it remapped to get the best out of it & save engine damage.
