The battery still works in mine but he bust the cover and both tubes It's a great light and I got mine from Robert Dyas about 5 years ago but they don't do them anymore I might have to try and source some new tubes.

they are phillips tubes, i bought mine almost 10 years ago now i think,,,,, was when i had a garage a bit of a walk away and i needed to take off the antiroll bar off my first escort cabrio,,,,,,, infact it was one of the first jobs i ever attempted to do on a car and still ****ed it up,spent 3 ****ing days trying to get off a xr3i antiroll bar to fit a ERST one as its better i was told, used a spanner,, then bought a socket set to find the right size ****ing socket dont come in the set so had to buy ANOTHER socket to find it was 1/4ins and my ratchet and set was 3/8ths,,,,, then bought a big **** off extention bar,,, removed the front bumper on a escort with a NORMAL 13mm open ended spanner,(anyone that has tried that will feel my pain) ,,,,,, i remember calling up a company who advertised in fastford mag called Motorsport Developments BACK BEFORE THE INTERNET AND THE RSOC WAS ON SOME STUPID TEXT SCREEN THINGY WITH NO SMILEYS ECT so for info i would call up tuners for advice,,,,,,,, some grumpy ****** with a northern accent called "stu" ask me in a rather patronising voice " you are turning the nut the right way" to which i replyed something like,,,,, " of course i am,, you think im a moron or something" or something like that,,,,,, to then be told " i have to ask as one side has a reverse thread"

i felt such a ****,,,, so so so much of a **** i remember thinking " im ****ing glad i never have to show my face to that person",,,,,,,, to think since then i have been in his workshop 5 times, on holiday to the ring with him 2 times AND also to his home pmsl

sorry but when i seen the lamp that was the trip down memory lane i had,,,,,, think its also was inspired me to work on the car if im honest

oh and stu,,,, you had good reason to sound grumpy,,,,, i was one of them people who when the phone rings you have to climb out from under the car,,,,,, answer the phone too,,,,, discover its **** all interest to you so and im just wasting them precious moments of your life you aint EVER gonna get back,,,,, but you still have to be polite just incase the person turns into a customer in the future ( which i did might i add a few years later..... one set of plugs pmsl ) you just cant seem too interest,,,,,, EVEN WORSE WITH ME as you would prob still be on the phone to me right now

oh,,, the internet aint much different but now its a Email of the spec sheet of a car ect and hints for advice so you can choose to answer in your own time ( btw you also spent a LONG time helping me to spec the engine for the same cabriolet which i did take your advice,,,,,,, well till i gave up pmsl

just me thankfull you dont specialise in rebuilding subaru gearboxes ( oh,,you do do you,,,,,, in that case you have PM pmsl )
