back seat action on impreza saloons!
fraid the questions not as exciting as the title troops, but thanks for looking.
bit of a left field question this one but here goes............
see the back seats on an impreza saloon? Can you fold them down flat like you can in the wagons to give a bigger boot space.
i do alot of fishing and carry 6foot rod bags, tents etc etc and was wondering if a saloon would have space. I have an sti 5 wagon however I skidded on a patch of diesel last week and im waiting for the insurance company to cast their eye over it. Gutted is an understatement.
Im thinking ahead because there is a wider range of saloons than wagons

Very disappointing thread
To answer your question, mine don`t fold down (2003 blob). All I have is a `ski hatch` in the middle of the seats.

I have an 06 Hawkeye saloon, the rear seats do not fold.
I do a fair bit of fishing (not so much since the car took over as No 1 obsession) for carp and catfish and have a lot of gear to take when I go. The middle of my Hawk rear seats opens through to the boot and is big enough for a rod bag containing six rods, three of them made up with big pit reels and three additional rods just in case lol.
I previously owned a Forester and used that, but my Hawk has a big boot and to be honest I find that I can get all the gear I need in the car, and I do take the kitchen sink when I go. It was a consideration when buying the car, some models the seats do fold but I was happy enough with the set up in my car after a few measurements were taken and my only consideration now, is being careful driving up farm tracks with my carbon front splitter making the car a bit lower at the front.
PS. the exhaust on my car is not too popular in the early hours when I drive around a lake but some sacrifices have to made lol.
regards
Tim

Mine is a 99 WRX and mine do not fold down at all. you can take the back off but then you are left with the rear bulkhead and mine has no holes. hope that helps a bit.
