Ok Ive signed the paperwork it comes Next week
Went and signed the paperwork for my 2011 STI, had a real good play with one whilst i was there, didnt drive it though just looked over every angle.
Only part i dont like is hump in boot unsure why thats there but you loose space cos of it.
Internals look great now, Aircon ***** are diff, Seats very comfy, you 330s boys know what i mean.
Stereo sounds great compared to last one, unsure what they have done maybe diff speakers dunno.
Cant wait for next week, Its supposed to drop Monday so with prep and plates etc, i,ll prob be looking at backend of next week
If there is a Leeds meet going down can some1 let me know i,ll try pop over for a shandy

Plasma Blue.
And as for the Piston im confident that after 9 calls to 5 dealers 3 peeps from IM and 1 i cant say, that the chocolate piston issue is ok.
The map of the 2011 is a wee bit different Lower end torque but yes same engine.
But dont forget i tink this engine has been around since the hawks of 2006 0r 2007.
What i advise is google the failure and youll see if you concentrate on just reading here its blinkers you to what the actuall issue was.
Basically the Map was too aggressive on the first ones, once the patch came out is was ok, apart from people who constantly spank the limiter or track day there car.
But yeah wuld be nice with some better ones.

Best of luck with the new car mate.
But i just couldnt go and spend £33k on a car that every time i wanted to give it a thrashing it would be in the back of my mind if the engine is goin to let go.
Subarus are not the car they used to be, they have moved on with the times and are now more like a family car, which 99% of people dont want with all the fancy luxuries, they would rather have a solid engine and performance and a few rattles here and there.
Anyway happy motoring, hope it hold together for you..

The warranty on the new cars will be 60K as has always been with Subaru with the exception of the cosworth sti
My 330S is 60K
And yes - you're right about the seats, they are fantastic.
But..........watch the side bolsters as there have been reports of them wearing poorly

Yeah i priced it up as well
Dont like the Evo pers pref though, only like the old 8 and 9s.
I also priced up the Focus RS with Matt Black Vynl, but once you sit in the new scoob youll see how nice it is compared to the other 2

dunx
P.S. Look forward to seeing this car in the flesh !

The only reason you got a decent price for your WRX-S against a £33,000 STi Saloon is because they are at least £5,000 overpriced ..... you will find that the depreciation will be similar to that of Germany in the 1930's
But, it's only money ... enjoy it

My confusion is that the car appears to have been styled in the WTCC mould...
Can we expect a N/A 2 litre touring car ? Or a 1.6 turbo ?
dunx

Good luck with the car fella, but can't help thinking fools and their money Anything but JDM against the current UK line up doesn't make sense to me.
