Is the WRX definatly a uk car, not an import? And has it been mapped at any point?

For a UK Car running higher octane unleaded will help prevent detonation. Using a 95Ron could potentialy cause detonation to which your knock sensor should notice and alter the timing, which in turn 'could' flash up your engine check light. However you should have no issues running 95Ron on a standard 02 WRX providing IT IS STANDARD. You will not gain any power from running Higher octane fuel as your car is mapped for standard UL, however a lot of Scooby owners are mapped on higher octane fuel so gain more power, and there is also some that use higher octane fuel without mapping for it as it prevent det. Do not confuse this with Imports.

I hope all the above is right, its something I have read myself over the years of owning Subaru's. If I have missed anything off im sure someone will soon comment

Rob

For the little extra V-power/Tesco 99 cost's i wouldn't risk putting 95ron in the car
