DVLA is still the best place for plates. A lot of companies will try and sell you a plate they don't even own and will just buy it off the DVLA themselves and add a premium!

Personally a find personalised plates a bit tacky, but that just persoanl preference. No offence to anyone with a plate, I've had a few myself.
