13 hours 3 gauges receipt & job sheet
for all who wanted to see, sorry about the delay.just to clarify things the receipt is for parts and the labour was paid cash as i was told by power station that this would save me paying vat
Please note the 13 hours it took to fit my gaugues. Unfortunatly I paid cash for the labour hence why it is not on the receipt.

Don't normally jump on the band wagon with stuff like this, but think you have well and truly been conned by powerstation!
Was just looking through the job sheet and reciept and thinking that PS were trying to get some money back on a job (the gauges)that probably didn't goto plan and turned into a bit of a nighmare, and that you'll probably just have to live and learn from this, then i saw how much they have charged you for a speedo convertor, 100 quid, 100 flocking quid, how the hell can they charge that for a part that the going rate is 20 quid and that they probably bought for a tenner!
Feel for you mate!!!

well when i paid cash i had a mate with me and durk who i paid was on his own as it was nearly 6pm and the workers had gone. either way the job sheet shows the time of labour spent and the parts list on the job sheet matches the receipt so where is the labour on the receipt??????? obviously i paid cash so its not there, ive got an idea lets ask her majesty or trading standards, maybe they will know

I think HMRC may like to hear about this VAT evasion...I doubt it's a one of from these guys, they are probably doing it systematically.
LOL £100 quid for a speedo convertor!
I can't understand how the OP pulled his pants down so willfully for this...he says he's been around cars for years and has a tuned Skyline etc? Maybe he's simple or something? 13 hours is crazy even if the 'had' to remove the dash?! Then paying cash w/out a receipt is retarded.

the car speedo still doesnt work, the car steering was shaking at 80mph when i bought it back on the motorway and it wasnt like that when i gave it there so i checked the wheel nuts and all of them were a quater turn loose, the exhaust middle joint was leaking from the joint due to putting it back together poorly which wasnt like that when i gave the car,and the car smells of oil when i boot it and it didnt before.

They couldn't justify a full-time machinist ... they will sub-contract the work out.

£83.52 on your card.
£115 in cash
and therefore a total of £198.52 for the actual parts.
You then paid an extra amount of cash for the labour? You certainly seem to have paid too much in terms of the hours, but how much in cash did you actually pay extra on top of the £198.52 as I can't see that mentioned anywhere?

1. If they charged £10 per hour it would be £10 X 22.75 = £227.50
2. If they charged £10o per hour it would be £100 X 22.75 = £2275.00
So, from those examples if it was £10 per hour then the total price is fine and even though the hours were excessively charged, the cash price was not.
If it was £100 per hour, then you have been overcharged on both time and cash so without knowing what you paid it's kind of irrelevant how many hours you were billed for so no-one can say if you have been ripped off or not.
Sorry...
