Default Wanted classic turbo 2000

I've posted in the wanted section https://www.scoobynet.com/wanted-18/...bo-2000-a.html but had no response

Right just sold my Fiesta TDCi so the hunt for a Scoob for the missus is now on.

We're after a standard or near standard turbo 2000 saloon. She'll have any colour as long as its not green or mica red. Must have Mot and preferably tax.

Budget is a max of £2500 and we're based in Buckley North Wales (near Chester)

So WHY??

would not even bother - spend a bit more - maybe up to 3500-4000 and get a mint car. Will save you loads in the long run and you will be able to sell it on later - instead of having to break for parts! just my opinion mate - good luck hope you find one.

I I was you I would by Mr Hat's car - is a gem. I would have it if I didn't have the same car in blue myself.

Price are all over the place. Better to set a budget and go looking. 2.5K might be a bit low but I would not consider going over £4K for a UK car. £3.5K would be about right.

V5/6 STIs are that sort of money and reasonable examples at that.

surely that depends on the spec and condition of the uk car in question, how many sti;s do we see on here than have gone bang, lack of history, ran on low grade fuel etc etc. but i would agree that 2.5 grand is going to be a whole lot of trouble, will end up spending a fortune on it. everybody seems to want something for nothing though.

Ha ha, didn't say there was anything wrong with those colours

The missus decided she'll have any colour except those two I'm afraid!!

2.5k is on the low side but I feel its a challenge and reckon I'll find one Its a buyers market and with fuel costs going up.......

I only paid 3k for mine over 4 years ago!!

As said really, you will get what you pay for in most circumstances. Anyway, if your budget goes up, I've got a nice standard (apart from full stainless H&S exhaust) '99 UK spec Turbo. Mica Blue, 52K genuine miles, full black leather, Prodrive ST2 17's, Prodrive suspension, Prodrive Q/Shift Kit, Aircon AND Electric Tilt/Slide sunroof all yours for £3750. Happy hunting!

Stack of receipts and almost full service history. Needs rear shocks and a gasket on the D/S cam cover!! Other than that its perfect
