Default What a weekend - feels good though!

When I bought my Impreza a week ago I noticed that the immaculate service history had become pretty poor within the last 2 years so my son (who is a mechanic) and I (passing him the spanners) did the full big service at the weekend.
  1. Oil and filter change (Old was very black and thin)
  2. Plugs change
  3. Coolant flush and fluid change
  4. Gearbox fluid change (looked pretty clean)
  5. Diff fluid (looked pretty clean) plugs done up by the HULK
  6. Brake fluid changed (came out almost as black as the engine oil)
  7. Air filter change
  8. New rear discs and pads fitted
  9. New front pads fitted
  10. New A/C belt fitted
  11. New P/S belt fitted
It look all day and yes of course it rained, but the car seems to run and breath so much better now......... sad how people fail to cover the basics and then moan when the car runs rough

Brakes supplied by Bob's and Ian at Godspeed and the Service kit came from Graham Goode Racing (top service guys) - All In I spent about £350 in parts which I'm chuffed with too!

I have a question though:

Cambelt was done about 25,000 miles ago but I have no idea if any pulleys were done or if the oil pump has ever been changed - should I look at this urgently?????

Love this car!

I would be inclined to just do the cambelt and pulleys for piece of mind more than anything

I would do the cambelt and pulley too. Oil pump should be fine AFAIK unless you have oil pressure problems or if the engine had been run with very little oil.

Enjoy your new car! How about some pictures?
