Default Had a play?

As the post says had a play on Saturday night with a Porsche carrera 4s (p plate) on a 4 lane road by me, he was with his wife and I was on the way home from work he went past me then flashed his hazard lights then we pulled up at a set of lights he was first I was behind so I thought why not it's late the road is quiet so let's see how quick it is, the lights changed he gunned it so did I and he couldn't pull away if anything I thought I was catching him then the next set of lights were red and we were side by side lights changed he gunned it so did I and I pulled away from him by about 2 car lengths he then flashed his lights so I slowed down turned of at the next junction and headed home thinking did I really beat a porker or was he not trying! What bhp have the porkers got?

That's the beauty of these cars.....5k and you have a Porsche beater however there are plenty of Diesels that will beat Impreza's on straight line performance now so ................

Was just surprised at how slow the Porsche carrera 4s was it couldn't pull away from me as stated I was making ground on him and as for the traffic light grand prix I pulled around 2 car lengths on him if not more, he must of been gutted all that money on a porker and he gets owned by a classic scooby.

When I owned a STi v5 I remember a young lady in a Swift giving it some beans when I attempted to overtake (dual carraigeway) ... she was absolutely fuming when I stepped on the loud pedal & blew her away not really got that much power have they

Hmm.

People who bang on about diesel torque just can't launch a turbo petrol car.

Sure and a diesel has won lemans. How much does an R8 cost again?

A8 TDI's and Q7's are BOATS, who cares about how fast they do a 1/4?

didnt i say not for 5k i did you miss that bit?

i drive an 04 sti ppp which i paid less than £8000 for , i understand the price vs performance arguement of an impreza, not many cars i can think of match it.
the question was simple are there diesels that go as fast as an sti , the answer is simple yes in its standard form.
