Try Greenlight insurance they smashed all other quotes I got by a long way on both my last cars, Pulsar GTi-R and my current Type R.

Webba's right greenlight has beat every quote I've ever had went up to £560 fully comp with the girlfriend on this year. That's on a modified car policy. People like Adrian flux charge extra for every mod. Best thing to do if you've got time is to play each insurance company off against one another, it worked for me.

Exactly.

If you could see how much the insurers are paying out on personal injury claims you'd understand why rates are going up.

Yeah they are really good. The mods I made to my Pulsar full exhaust, filter, coilovers, front mount and up in boost to 1 bar didn't affect my premium at all from standard. The insurance for my Type R with turbo back exhaust was 700 last year. I've had to make two claims both not my fault and they have been really helpful. I'd always recommend them.

Majority of the prices are postcode based. I could put my details in at my mates address and it shoots up to £1900 which in my opinion is a joke.

Whats the best/ stroke cheapest postcode to insure then?

i think my insurance is reasonable for my age etc

I'm assuming anything starting with a 'B' automatically adds 50% to a quote.....
