It's all about the postcode mate.
Try one of the search engines - Confused.Com and the like. Also Keith Michaels and A-Plan on here are competetive and often give shock quotes.

Coupled with the missus Golf Gti I can't fathom the cost increase for a change from WRX to STI.

It sounds like you live in middle earth, with not much motor traffic around. LOL. An STI where I live would definately cost me over a grand and I've got 11 years NCB and 33 yrs old.

Tell me about it. I just cnt believe it. We work hard for our toys of pleasure and because its fun, they try and take it away from us by making it impossible to own.
And they wonder whu people drive without insurance. Mine went from 650 to 1k.
Next year I will have to sell my car for sure as it will just be to much to insure. The ***** just take and take. I've been paying insurance for years and wheres it all gone. Pays for the bosses lavish holidays and fast cars and women no doubt lol.

Like people say..... it's the postcode and you that make the difference.
I won't say what I was paying on my 500++bhp Spec C (EVERYTHING declared) with KM as it may effect my premium from them next year! Needless to say it was peanuts in relative terms for the car.
Everyone will be different I suspect as it is all down to circumstances.
