that would depend on how you drive mainly,be to agressive and it will shred it for sure but then on the same hand ive heard of some going along time on 400 bhp,550's can flow enough for the power your after mate

american oversize block ah nice,i had one to years back, must admit good fun driving but if you weren't thinking could find yourself in trouble very quickly lol.
The scooby with 350 plus will be an eye opener for you cause you've got the handling to go with the power and makes driving alot more enjoyable

I'm running a MD321H on my V4 Type R at around 370bhp and it's worlds appart from the original 280bhp. My spec is V8 intercooler, 550 injectors, Apexi ecu, fuel pump, exhaust system, induction kit - all in about £3k. You will need a new gearbox at that power level though and I'd also suggest better brakes too.........

A VF35 would not get any where near the OP's requirements without a struggle and some fairy dust.

I beg to differ on that

A chap on her that i know has setup 3 cars with the VF35 Turbo two are on a UK spec 2000AWD and his is an STI ver 3. Power output has been done on them and even the mapper can't believe the figuers.

Here is the thread if u don't believe me

https://www.scoobynet.com/841643-vf2...ntional-2.html

the discussion starts from #57

3 cars all setup the same all producing power between 355-370bhp as the chap is after between 370-400bhp. Plus its an 11.8s 1/4 mile car too. 9 sec - 100mph sub 4 secs to 60mph

Even after reading that, a vf35 will struggle to make those figures safely, then there is the other issues that go with "trying" to run 350+bhp on a classic scoob, mainly reliability, clutch, engine and gearbox, brakes wont be up to the job (not even at 280ps), so just budget 10ish k for all the bits you need, add the extra weight into the equasion, and your better off with a Spec C then

I think if you take 20 people who have fitted a 35, most will have between 310 and 330 bhp, a couple will be in the 340's and one lucky person with the right mix of supporting mods will have over 350. Like i said - it will be a struggle. Cut to the chase and buy a turbo which gets the required figures every time

getting a turbo that would get those figures would be ok but the bigger the turbo the more lag. With the setup in the classic that have had the VF35 fitted with Bob mapping it even bob can't believe that all 3 cars have the same power output. Its also how it delievers the power. Cars at Santa pod running 600bhp couldn't believe the way that his car was taking off with such lack of power compared to theres. ok may run out of steam after 120mph but scoobys are all about acceleration

a clip of the car in question

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z63led75V5o
about 7mins into the video white scooby ver 600bhp evo
