TD05 inlet??????????????
Hi everyone!!
My V2 STI currently has a TDo5 (i think 16g) on it at the mo, and as Simon from JGM is coming out on the 29th to map my car (after adding FPR and 505cc injectors) and i was debating on also changing to a TDo5 18g???
The question i have is am i right in thinking that with my car being a 96 the inlet on the turbo is different to the same turbo from 97+ ??????
Is there anyway to change this if i bought a tdo5 from a 97+ scooby???
Forgive me if i sound stupid bt i have limitd knowledge on such things!
Many thanks
Andy

Your turbo will have a 90 degree bend on it where as the later ones have a straight inlet. It is possible to fit the later ones though.

V3 STI ported and polished cylinder heads,
Nimonic exhaust valves,
New timing belt and tensioners,
Lightweight flywheel and pulleys.
* TD05 Turbo
* New STI gearbox and diff
* New STI clutch

* Apexi AVC-R boost controller
* Tubular manifold
* A/M Exhaust Headers and Up-pipe

i have bought fuellab fpr and 505cc injectors, also parrellel fuel line mod too...

The 16g is more than capable and if you want a step up from that consider something bigger than a 18g.
Had the same consideration myself re the 16g vs 18g and stuck with the 16g.
16g at around 1.5bar makes it a absolute stormer and will be on the limits of the box anyhow.

hey guys!
yes harvey i originally bought the injectors thinking they were 550s too! but after being checked at hypertech@ falkirk they were reading 505s on their new machine!!! He even said himself hed never heard of them before???
although speaking to someone else they said that it depends on wether they were tested at 3bar or 3.5 or something????? (forgive me, very limited knowledge on this sorry!)
But i guess either way - 505cc sure gotta be better than the standard 380s right!!
