You folks are so welcoming!
I'm in sunny Essex (the Scoob is in sunny Scotland) we are flying up on Friday and then giving it a 400mile test drive
I am a moderator on the SaabCentral forums and now that I have no saab I wondered where I'd get my "forum fix" - so its great to be here and to have so many compliments!
If you think the car lools nice take a look at the interior:

Well I'm back!
And I have the car...........well what can I say, quite clearly the guy knows how to write an advert and how to take good pictures, but I realize I now have so much to do to it
On the priority list she needs:
The big service & belts
Geometry Alignment - then two tyres
New brakes and discs all round
I have a couple of questions though guys.
1. It has a scorpion cat back exhuast, but it doesnt really have that signature scooby burble - why?
2. It has a Subaru factory fit cat 1 alarm/immobiliser with fob and key pad in the glove box - I cant find the code anywhere in the pile of paperwork - how can I get it just incase the fob fails?
Thanks for any help!
Cheers Chris

It should have some flat 4 burble unless the car has been fitted with equal length headers, then the car would have been remapped.
My first MY00 (10 years ago since I bought that one) was deathly quiet on the standard exhaust, better with the PPP fitted (also a scorpion exhaust system), better still with a decat down pipe
The sound may not come in till after 4k, the PPP exhaust was quite quiet until around that mark then you could hear the burble more
For the code you can go to the dealers, you will need the v5 and some form of identification (normally 2 forms of id) and the chassis number (that should be on the v5 anyway ) and they can get you the code (hopefully).
Brake pads are going to cost you more than the discs (for good ones), BIG service will set you back 6-800 quid but your good for 2 years cheap oil changes then

As mentioned the Uk cars dont have V numbers, but if you ever have any problems just quote MY2000 for most bits of a Phase 2 UK Classic.
I had a scorpion Backbox on my old classic, quite subtle on idle and slow driving, but sounded like a Jet Fighter on full chat Chances are it only has a Backbox. Look to see if there is s till a large centre box, if so, you can get a centre de-cat straight through pipe... and if thats not enough, a de-cat downpipe would really opens up the volume do it in stages to get the desired sound you are looking for.
Oh and that is seriously nice interior, i toyed with Leather upgrade for mine, but the Car Gods decided she would rather put a piston through the block, lol.
