Default Scooby wave

Hi all,

I'm from near Brighton and I've not yet received one 'Scooby wave'.

It appears that those from down south are a big too arrogant for it.

I know it's only a little bit of fun.

But when I went to Basingstoke to see my girlfriends parents, there were loads of Scooby drivers giving me the 'Scooby wave'.

Strange

i do the wave & get waves but mainly to & from classics. Seen a few newer versions driven by ladies (in forties) & they obviously don't know about the 'wave' & just ignore you or even realise a fellow scoob has just driven past

I've seen lots of 40 year old women driving the Hawkeye in Brighton/Worthing.

They were really skanky looking birds which made it even worse.

That's a little harsh, mind you whenever I wave at a scoob by the time realise that its a fellow scoob owner waving at them and not a Mazda driver its generally too late!!

I always give scooby drivers a wave. Whoever it is, I used to bottle it at times then at the last minute they would wave me, then id feel crap. So now i wave like a loon to everyone even old dears. I even waved a police scoob and got a result!

When the wife is there though it's a more of a couple fingers off the wheel raise so she wont notice. If she sees me it's "oh you sad man", "is he/she in your special oh look ive no money left after fuel club"

Cant beat the warm feeling of fellow scooby love.

It appears the Scooby love is dying out on the roads.

Maybe it will come back one day...

I think its because of the uniqueness if that is a word of the car.

Its a very different car than normal hence its got a big following and loads of clubs and stuff, bit like VW golfs and stuff like that i know a mate thats got one and he says they do the same thing as us.

+1!!!!!!!
mines exactly the same, she loves driving the car and givving it the gun,but forgets our little Code Of Practice of scooby driving!!!drives me mad then when she comes home tellin me some fella in a scoob waved at her and she didnt wave back cos she 'didn't know him'!!i then go nuts throw some stuff about the place, tell her she's not worthy of drivig the car anymore and go off in a huff! the ignorence of these women!
daz86 i know what u mean 2,the thumbs up is amazing, makes you feel warm inside and if your like part of some cult brotherhood with secret handshkes and allsorts!!!long live the thumbs up

i find hatch drivers a bit hit and miss, its as if some think your not worthy cos u got £4k worth of classic and they got 20 odd k's worth, snooty beggaz

The reason (IMO) that some scoob drivers dont wave back is the fact they think their car is better or cooler or faster than yours. It's a sad reflection of the number of numpties driving scoobs these days!

I have a WRX wagon with very few external mods (couple of stickers, aftermarket wheels) and it's a bug-eye so immediately anyone in an STI is thinking 'I could take that bucket'. Well at 325bhp I have answers for most folk that take me on!

I wave like a looney too as you do feel a tw@t (if you're a decent sort of person) when you dont manage to wave at someone back.

There are one or two round my way that are going to get a very different sort of hand gesture if they dont wave me back lol!

I hate it when they dont but ive been a suspect of not doing it before now but in my defence i was looking at something else then when i turned my head it had gone past so dont know if they waved or done some other gesture at me

It does make me laugh tho when you get the OTT driver that almost crashes because he is too busy waving at you.
