Default should i worry

I have a 96 wrx and when i start the car up sometimes the oil light comes on for a second or 2 then all will be fine.

Is my oil pump on the way out?

It could just as easily be a fault with the pressure-switch itself or its wiring. As the switch is a lot easier and cheaper to replace, it might make sense to do that first and then see if the symptoms go away:

Silly question, but have you checked your oil and are you parked on flat ground when this happens?

haha. I check fluids religously every week being an old car. So far ive had to replace the turbo, power steering res, shocks and springs are on their way. just wondering whats next....
Might just do the sensor and buy a modified oil pump and do the timing belt at the same time.

oh the joy
