This post is for my mate, last we were topping up the power steering fluid when we noticed oil on the passenger side of the engine bay, the battery was covered the wing mirror, and oil dripping from under the radiator, we had a good look around and couldnt see anywhere it could be coming from, the oil level was fine there was no knocking or smoke, has anyone got any ideas or had the same experience

Does it run a VTA dv? Also if you were topping up the power steering fluid are you sure it's not that that's sprayed around?

he does have a vta dv, it was defo oil not steering fluid. What was geting us was the the under tray from the rad had a puddle of oil on it and was dripping aroun that area!

Mechanic on the drink last time it was serviced - missing the hole when filling?


Seriously though - transmission oil? - seal gone or something?

I was thinking it may be oil spraying out the dv due to blocked breather etc? Although reading again it sounds a bit too much to be that.

Did you put the oil dipstick back in and the lid on the engine oil filler neck properly. If not oil will blow out from either.
