Towing a car with a car or van...
I'm curious, if i was to buy a car or van with a towing hitch, how safe is it to use a tow bar to pull my Subaru around for track. Does someone need to steer the Subaru?
Does anyone tow cars using a car or van with a tow bar?
Thanks

if the wheels are on the road whilst you are towing it, it would need tobe insured, taxed & tested, so you might aswell just drive it!
Or get a transporter trailer then it don't matter about the above. also if you recently got you're license, then you will prob have to take another test to be able to legally towa trailer.

I've had my licence coming up 6 years and 5 years NCB.
Thinking about it all 4 wheels down towing would be pointless, the idea was to have it uninsured and tow it to track, but might as well insure it as if i crash it on track and whe wheel/s are ruined then i won't be able to tow it anyway.
Trailer seems best but far to pricey at the momeny.
Thanks

Also Scoob is a heavy car so you'd need something with a towing capacity a bit beyond your average family sized car. ie a big horrible gas guzzling 4x4 truck.

Anyone that has passed their test since Jan 1997 must take an additional test in order to tow
