Are the drive shafts on a uk spec 2000 turbo the same as a uk or import wrx or sti??

If you're looking at 93-96 cars, physically they'll definitely fit. Not sure about swapping between older and newer ones though.

Facelift shouldn't be a problem with a uk 2000 as they are only a year or 2 apart
