Default Driving Feeling Questions

Hi

as you may have noticed my STi arrived yesterday and I had an enjoyable evening bobbing around with SWMBO.

Today I drove on my own down familiar roads to work, around 25 miles, mainly B roads and a little bit of A road.

Driving on familiar roads has allowed me to feel the difference in driving experience and it has left me with a couple of questions.

- the car feels 'floaty' (best word I can think of) around the corners and the steering feels really light, there doesnt seem to be a grip issue it is one of 'lightness'
- lifting off halfway round a corner produces pronounced front end tuck in as the line tightens

Does this sound normal?

Bear in mind I have moved from an E60 M5, so about 2tonnes of car, rear wheel drive, computer controlled everything. It just felt more substantial and 'planted'.

Yes it should tuck in if you lift off, my favourite trait...

P.S. An uprated rear ARB was the best value mod on my car, transformed it... Enjoy !
