Default Looking to buy this Scooby

Hello all,
I've recently sold my Evo VI, loved her but due to reasons, she had too go. Now I haven't got a great deal of cash to spare and I've always wanted a Scooby (almost bought one before buying the Evo) and I've always fancied a Scoob in yellow. I've seen this one on ebay (link below). Has anyone been to see this car?
Bye for now.
Steve

Thanks muzzler, I'm not clued up on the Scoobies. It looks like an import to me as a lad I worked with had the same shape and he had to fit a fog light for M.O.T. I haven't spoken to the seller yet as I wanted to see if anyone on here knew anything about the car before I went on a 700 mile round trip.

Miles seem awfully low for 15 y/o car, can they guarantee the miles and also is it due any service in particular a major incl cambelts and fluids as you will need to allow another £300,00 or so (non dealer).

Looks nice, not sure it is a genuine colour and does depend on how good the paint is. I had MY99 wheels and a face lift front - has it been in an accident and repaired, look for the usual signs.

Also see just how worn the interior is, seats are STI by the look of things so likely replacements, check pedal covers and wheel for wear and shininess on the wheel - a car with 60k should not exhibit much wear in these areas.

for a 700 mile round trip i would write a list of questions incl service, miles, paint, etc and make sure you are real happy with the answers before traveling.

Also at that miles it should have a lot of history to back it up.

Yes Ive never seen one this shade of yellow. Some later classic sti,s were a lighter shade and I also believe a late special edition sport came in the same lighter shade. Steve.

Here lies the rub, the dealership/garage must give you all the info you want and you must be happy with it, having traveled that far you might well think oh well i come this far it is not quite right but best not go empty handed - wrong!

Look locally.

67,000 miles?

1995?

Hmmmmmmmmmm......................

How many owners? Any more than 2 and you can assume the mileage is actually 167,000!

The price is pretty high for an import IMO

I sold a proper UK Spec. MY2000 and One Owner for not much more (with full history and impeccable pedigree).

Also its not 280 bhp it would have been 260 from new but you'll be lucky if its more than 240bhp.

There were 2 standard yellows for scoobys, but they were not introduced until 97.

Check out my garage as mine in yellow
