Default had a power run yesterday at corten miller

Took the car uk my00 down to Corten-Miller performance at boston lincs and wasnt impressed with its performance at all. It only reached 202.2hp with 240 torques as im running an ej25 block with standered everything else.
I was told to decat it,get a power fc ecu and a wahlboro fuel pump and a custom map ,probably around £1500 give or take a few quid to get maybe 40 hp more ,cant see the point really ,they were great lads dont get me wrong but was expecting atleast 213hp standered for a my00 your thoughts please.

Hmmm, had a similar issue on my uk, made 215bhp with 245 torque, but with full decat.
Never did find out what was up. ha, new engine in there, hybrid, 300.1 with 310 torque.

Many things could be up, did they say why at all? Boost, fuelling etc?

Don't be dis heartened but it, all the better to do some mods.

Hi mate iv got a uk2000 turbo with ppp pack and my td04 reaches 1.2 bar! Im running full decat and hks mushroom filter and roughly putting out 270bhp.

So there is plenty of potential.

Have you got any sort of boost controller fitted or a bleed valve?

EJ25 is a N/A motor, that makes 155 bhp (or more depending on spec), I imagine the boost is limited to avoid it destroying itself...

Ah right,so its a n/a engine with a turbo system added.

As dunx said, without having the proper internals/compression ratio etc to cope 0.5 is probably the safest, hence 200 bhp

I would hate to see how much det your getting you need to bin the hks filter, fit the airbox back in, put a decent panel filter in (so your maf doesnt die), and have the car remapped.
If not I would hate to see what sort of damage it will carry on to do before it causes engine failure

Hi Tony thanks for the advice. When i bought the car that is what the bloke said it would be, i am going to the rollers next month so will find out for sure. When i looked at the boost figures for the prodrive ecu it said between 1.0 -1.2 bar. Iv had a det check already and everything is ok

But i am changing the turbo and filter soon just to avoid that problem anyway.

Cheers Scott
