Default RB5's

I hadn't considered a classic Impreza but the RB5's do look nice. Anyone care to comment in them? I've been over to the RB5 owners club for a look as well

I own RB5 322 which is also a WR sport.
WR sport means it got PPP and a prodrive rear spoiler.
Superb car a standard but i got bored and had it tweeked to 330/320.
Currently off the road for a bit of work. Have noticed the underside is
rather rusty so bear this in mind if buying these cars are 10 years old and the british winters does not fair them well

Best looking of the special edition 'classics' imho

Rare cars in standard form now though and WR sport version is definatly the one to go for

I've had the pleasure of owning RB5 041 for over 5 years.
There are a few dogs about but I've seen some nice ones up for sale recently.
As Ciaran says, they are prone to a bit of rust, the original underseal isn't the best so check everything carefully when your looking at them, I've had to redo under the arches and I will be re sealing the rest of the body work later this year on mine.
There is a very good guide on the rb5oc telling you what to look for when buying a rb5.
good luck!

Thanks guys. I spotted a nice car on Pistonheads that's also advertised on the RB5 owners forum. I've emailed the seller for a bit more info.

I have owned 420 now for over 3 years, and although its fairly modded now i have loved the car from the day i got it

I always liked the cool grey colour also and the car had some nice touches like aircon, RB5 plague inside, nice wheels, prodrive suspension etc

My advice would be to go have a look ata few because as said above there are plenty of dogs about which are fiarly rough, best place to look is the RB50C, most cars on there are owned by enthusiasts and are well cared for and properly modded

Heres a pic of mine to give you a taster:

Rory, That's quite the car mate Sadly I'm looking for a STD car, more so for insurance purposes. Good luck with the sale.

Lovely mate. There are two cars that have caught my eye and the seller of one has got back to me. As soon as my car is sold and I know what money I'm playing with I'll be better placed to make decisions.

absolutely love my rb5, it was always going to be something in the classic shape and was between that and the P1.

Mines a forged 2.1 still on the standard box. In the process of having a albins gear kit built then I can run some power all being well.

Are you able to look at the classifieds on the rb5 owners club? I've tried a few times now and it says I have to register, which is either £10 or £25?

You can also join rb5 club for free mate, when you get asked what membership you would like dont select either payment option and move on to the next section. This will allow you to join as a non paying standard member
