Forgive me if this is a stupid question......
Please forgive my lack of knowledge here but.....my rear passenger side suspension on my classic is knackered, as I understand I should be replacing both the rears then? Is it necessary to change the front?
Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

You should always change shocks as a pair per axle after about 30k miles.
I.E if your passenger rear is gone, you need to replace both the drivers and passengers rear shocks.
Plus you may well feel a difference between shiney new shocks and still working old ones as alcazar said.

Change shocks/struts springs in pairs on a performance car by the pair, not individually - pair them front and rear, not by the sides - off side, near side if you see what i mean.

Appreciate the replies lads, finding a set of the rears is proving quite difficult, not looking down the brand new route due to the cost, anyone recommend anywhere I can get a reconditioned/2nd hand set or pair?
Thanks!
Thanks!

A full set of KYB shocks wouldn't be all that much. Check it out.
When a changed mine (the old ones passed the MOT) I was shocked, excuse the pun, the difference was night and day. The car drove so much better, especially on the motorway. It's well worth looking into if you plan on keeping the car.

Just changed mine it took me 6 hours in total and an hour of that was messing with the interior. I've put KYB shocks and springs on
N/S/R shock part number 334110
O/S/R shock part number 334109
springs part number RA5447
I work for a parts factor and the retail price on all this would be £170inc vat so it's not to badly priced, save up and take these part numbers to your local parts discount center and see what they can do for you, play one off against the other it always gets you a bit of a trade price
