Just popped over to Blackbushe auctions as a P1 was on sale - thouhgt I'd go and check it out. Can you believe that someone paid £20500 for it with no history at all?! Perfectly kept private ones only go for a couple of grand more than that!

Car looked fine from the outside though, although alloys were kerbed - and I think it had 20k miles on it. The numberplate was P1 1N UK which is quite distinctive - anyone here know its history?

Wink

Most should have history, the reason could be that the service book may have been lost but thats no problem as most dealers have service history of the cars on their computer network so finding out should be quite easy
Would need to have it HPi'd thou as if its at auction if could have been a repossessed etc.

I remember that Reg.No. It was on the first P1 I saw and it was parked outside the Kings Head pup on Upper St. in North London way back when. Don't know anything else about it though...

That bid was taken 'off the wall' had you been watching carefully

You notice how it always seems that 'every' car finds a buyer?? well, it doesnt - not by a long way, but the Man with the hammer cant let you know that can he?? so he takes bids off the wall - no-one is bidding at all!!!!

Insiders say it didnt reach its reserve of £13500

I seem to remember seeing that car outside the Arsenal ground a few times last year.

pslewis: i saw the guys bidding for it, and the guy who won it acknowledged having done so. The reserve wasn't £13500, as the £20500 was provisional. Where are you getting this from???
