Painting a bonnet scoop.

Painting a bonnet scoop.
My scoop has faded in the sun and I would like to repray it myself. Is it possible to get a good finish with a can or should I just pay for a pro to do it.
I have painted my wheels in the past and they came out good until I put the laquer on then it seems to go a dull/hazey/creamy type of finish.
Thanks.
Its black by the way. 47A.

Mines the same paint code, recently took to a garage to find out how much some rustwork will be.
Though I'm planning on leaving that till later in year, they said it could be awckward blending the colour in. Due to the cra having a somesought of respray in it's life.

You will get dust/little fibres in the laquer. It will look poo and you'll then have to pay to get it done anyway.
Just shop around at your local bodyshops. They'll usually try to compete with each other so you'll end up with a good price, and a nice looking scoop that doesn't resemble a hairy ball sack.
