Is there an easy way to tell if a car (2007 WRX Wagon) has been remapped by its previous owner?

if you can stick a boost gauge on it anything over 0.8 bar has been mapped.

Is previous owner on V5? give him/her a ring... they'd tell you

or get anyone with a tactrix cable to read the ecu for you, then you will know for sure

Is this the same for all Impreza models. Mines a MY99 STI V5 and it hits over 0.8

Few ways:-

1. It will do 60 mpg

2. It will be pushing out 600 BHP

3. It will massage your butt and play with you while stopped at the traffic lights

but, in reality, it will probably have the reliability of a TVR ...... if it makes you wonder where the legendary Subaru reliability has gone - it's been messed about with and fckued!
