battery acid problem - advice please
Have changed alternator and battery (both new) and the car is still leaking acid from the vents and dripping onto my car!!!
Can it be anything else? What else regulates that battery charge? Is doing my head in now as have prob wasted money

Did you fit the correct rating alternator mate??
It sounds like the alternator is overcharging the battery, and boiling the acid inside it.

the regulator is inside the alternator afaik?
Have you tried putting a voltmeter across the battery with the engine running? even if you rev it, it shouldn't get much over 14v.

If in doubt, a decent auto electrics place will test battery and alternator for a few quid.
